Wolfert Tweetalig is proud to host the Dutch preliminary round of the Oxford Schools' Debating Tournament.
Oxford Schools' is the largest British Parliamentary school-level debate competition in the world.

Which debate format will be used during the tournament?During this tournament we will use the British parliamentary debating format. For more information watch the video below: Note: each speech will last five minutes, instead of the seven minutes mentioned in the video.

What are the registration costs?The registration fee amounts to 75 euros per team. Each team consists of two debaters. Note that the fee may be lower if the tournament is held online due to covid-19 restrictions. The 75 euro fee covers the following: a debate workshop by a debater from the Oxford Union, and three rounds of debating.

Is prior debate experience needed to be able to participate?No prior experience is needed. During the morning workshops students will be allocated based on their experience. The workshop for less experienced debaters will focus on the rules of the format. After the workshop students will be ready to participate in the tournament.
